    Cookies policy

    This cookies policy explains what “cookies” (small text files) and browser local storage this website uses, why we use them, and how you control them. It forms part of our privacy policy.

    Consent

    On your first visit we ask for your consent in line with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP/revDSG) and, for visitors from the EU, the GDPR and ePrivacy rules. Only strictly necessary storage is used without your consent. Nothing optional is loaded or stored unless you have agreed to it.

    What we use

    • Strictly necessary (always active): a sign-in session for editors, and the “sb-cookie-consent” entry that stores your cookie choice so we do not have to ask again on every visit. These cannot be switched off, because the site cannot run securely without them.
    • Preferences: the “theme” entry in your browser’s local storage, which remembers whether you chose light or dark mode. It is only kept between visits if you allow this category; otherwise your choice applies to the current visit only.
    • Analytics: anonymous statistics about how the site is used. Not currently in use — nothing in this category is loaded unless you allow it. If we ever enable it, this page will be updated first.
    • Marketing: advertising or social-media tracking. Not currently in use — nothing in this category is loaded unless you allow it.

    We do not use advertising cookies, social-media pixels, or third-party advertising networks, and we do not sell personal data.

    Managing your choice

    You can accept, reject or customise these categories — and withdraw or change your consent at any time — via the “Cookie settings” link in the site footer. Rejecting optional categories does not limit your access to the site. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will simply ask for your choice again on your next visit.
